Hello,

I don't know if this is the correct section.

I am looking for a Bluetooth 5 receiver with SPDIF output (coaxial or optical). Ideally with a CSR8675 chip and which supports in addition to APTX-HD, LDAC.

I am looking for good quality but not too expensive. If you have any suggestions, welcome. :)

I'm not sure about the price/budget. They're not cheap but worth stretching the budget.
Qualcomm 5100 [...?]
...There was a review that told nicely how it is the "jack-of-all-Bt-receivers", just works without any trouble.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will put in my list. I wish I could compare with a less expensive one

I had the Topping BC3 in my sights.

The question I'm asking myself, the fact that it has no antenna, will it decrease the range?

I have the Bludento BLT-HD to use with an LG G7 phone. It has the antenna and I do think that's a consideration if you will need to stream at any distance. Using the Apt-X HD protocol seems to shorten the range, and walls will present a challenge. The Topping is easier on the wallet however.

I've yet to tell any difference with my LG between the Apt-X HD and a wire from the LG's excellent DAC using 24bit files. If it's there then I definitively need some golden ears.

Nice find.
MassDrop apparently carried it a couple of months ago. Here it is on Amazon US for those in the USA.

This XDUOO ad calls out the CS8406 chip it uses to transcode from PCM to S/PDIF I guess. The optical and coaxial outputs give a pretty decent SINAD of 101 dB, though XDUOO do not specify whether that is when used as a USB-DAC or as a BT receiver with LDAC, or whether that is just the inherent best spec of the CS8406. The analog output is listed as having a SINAD of 63 dB, which on the face of it seems pretty low for a device that uses a ES9018K2M DAC chip. Still, it looks like a good device, with an antenna, to receive LDAC and output good quality S/PDIF.

The ifi zen blue is awesome. It’s limited to Bluetooth only. Doesn’t have any “in” inputs.
