I meant to put this in this thread instead of the DIY thread.

How about the ELAC DBR inwalls? It would be interesting to compare them to their box counterparts.

Would be cool, but that's another separate addon Amir would need to wrangle out of them.

Yamaha NS-6490. $130 pair..

Do these have a decent enough DI that you could take a DSP-408, the 6 80w amps of, say, a Marantz sr4300 ($40 thrift store), configure 2 active crossovers for each, PEQ all transducers' individually, and end up with some nice Poor Boy 'actives'?

Jamo S803? Currently on sale for under $150/pair.

$150/pair is the sucker price. The 5 channel bundle with 2x 803's, 2x 801's, and 81 center is only $199, and has been for many months. No idea how good they are spinorama wise, but IIRC JoeNTell measured a significant treble lift incline from 1-2kHz to 20kHz. I don't think these are going to be BS22 killers, but who knows, maybe with EQ or tone controls they could be.

It's not cheap but the Gershman Studio II have been making some buzz on youtube.

I would love to see measurements of them and I have no idea if someone donated one of them like has been done for the Buchardt S400 or other speakers that have had a lot of buzz/hype.

I'd love to see the RSL CG3 ($135) or the CG5 ($350) bookshelf speakers. I've heard great things about their 10s subwoofer and want to know if their bookshelfs are up to snuff.
