Throw Your Amp in the Garbage

I know Dynaudio XD is emphasizing the wireless / boxless nature of their active Focus XD series, but they made the point in this photo by showing the happy hipster couple with their amp in the garbage can:

Amp in the trash or not, all those hard surfaces are going to be an acoustic challenge.

Don't won't to be doing that in the uk, they won't collect your rubbish for a month in some areas. I recommend they change the advertising ( for the uk market) to show them being resold at a car boot sale maybe to a older gentleman wearing Jesus sandals and white socks ..

"All the new speakers use the same hardware platform as the original Focus XD. So, because all the improvements have been made in software form, owners of existing Focus XD speakers will be able to upgrade their firmware through a free update expected to be available in March."

For some reason I envision going further. I am thinking some lime green 70's vintage shag carpet on all concrete surfaces of the room. The various vents and other cutouts would contrast nicely.

Oh, and dump the neck-beard dude. Keep the gal, maybe swap out her sackcloth pajamas for some tie-dye in the same pattern. Then we'll have something special in Scandanavian groovy.

Oh, they will build the hotel.. then a terrible breakout of the long forgotten plague 'audiophile nevosa' will rise up from the disturbed ground and sweep the globe..
