Driver is cool! I've been to the store he describes. Multi floor you would live it, Amir.

Here is one of my best tool purchase of late: the Dewalt DCS355D1 vibrating multi-tool. I have known about these for years since Fein invented them but had no exposure to them other than at woodworking shows. During summer I was re-doing the wiring/panels in my RV camper/coach and needed to cut out a square box out of a panel while laying on my side on the floor! There was scant room for any tool and I did not want to deal with the massive amount of dust from a rotary tool. And lack of control for cutting square. Ran out and bought the dewalt from Lowe's hardware store and cut out the panel. Despite having a very slippery coating, the tool worked like magic, cutting straight and with a level of control that simply does not exist in any other cutting tools.

Next I cut some L-shaped aluminum brackets using their circular blade. It cut through that with ease and again, with so much control. The battery lasted through all of this. Absolutely love this tool!

See this review of it:

Been looking for better storage of small parts both for my workshop (screws and bolts) and electronic bench. Ran into this video which has started a revolution of its own with many people either buying these "Sortimo" organizers or clones of them in this Adam Savage video (mythbusters fame):

Let me know if you have these and what you think of the idea.

Forgot to say that each Sortimo tray costs a cool $65!
Ah, I envy you, all the toys.
No real room for such things at my digs here in FL :(
Had so much in my big place up in Chicago.
But I got the sunshine and 2 swimming pools here.:D
It all balances out I guess.

My type of tool: 50 mph in the fast lane; gotcha.
A big tool to spark-up the thread.

If this should be moved to the Fight Club, that is OK.

iridium.

Hopefully none of us are buying it to use :). But it is cool otherwise.

I only have one Festool which is their track saw. Everything else gives me sticker shock! :D

My designer swears by them and has a large collection.

Ran into this video which has a nice overview of tools you need for electronic work. I have no idea why this guy (Collin) from Adafruit thinks he should wear a suit for such videos but he does.

Might as well post this video from Dave Jones too on how to set up the cheapest, dirtiest electronic lab.

I recommend stepping up a few levels and buying proper stuff but thought this may still be useful information for some of the bits.

Yes, the color and fit only serve to accent the size of his very large head.
Kind of reminds me of the visual impressions I always got from Rod Serling on TV

Nice....

I've had good luck using a hammer on the bolt head to send a shock wave down the shank.

Apply torque and smack it.

And Blaster, of course. I don't do this kind of work on the clock, though, so...
