Someone needs to explain to me why some manufactures slant the speaker back, pointing the tweeter at the ceiling!

Rolling In The Deep by Adele. http://shz.am/t52870017

OK, Adele albums are poorly recorded for the most part so why play them at a high-end show??? This sounded terrible: hollow sound again with distorted highs.

I understand them be stepped back for timing but not pointed upward. I guess the benefit is to remove the diffraction when there is a real step but still, you are sending the best sound of the driver (on-axis) to the ceiling rather than one's ear.

No law saying you can't experiment with rake to bring them down though..
No you can't because then the bits will fall off the speaker wire before getting to the driver.

Bugger, see I can't be trusted around high end audio.. Iv got my vivids raked down slightly as I'm sitting on a bean bag nowadays. Fortunately being analogue there's no bits to fall off the speaker wire.

My panels lean forward about 3 degrees to get their center aimed at my head.

Missed this when first posted. Adele's 21 is a fabulous stress test album, and this track puts mighty big demands on a system - massive, intense sound, tremendous bite; if not capable, a disaster, if in the zone an amazing musical ride, as good as it gets ...
