I guess that's their DVS ("Virtual Sound Card"). It comes with an ASIO driver, and there is a 30 days license for $10.
https://www.audinate.com/products/software/dante-virtual-soundcard
I didn't check that though. But they say it's compatible with any Dante product, and this is one.
I own several Dante products, including the DVS, but not any AVIO yet.
I will ask the support for confirmation.

DVS supports "16, 24 and 32-bit audio at 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4** and 192** kHz" (with some tricks)

You have to select one clock rate for the whole network though.
No "on the fly" clock change.
Dante is meant for big setups, like big festival with one FOH mixer, one monitoring mixer on stage and another mixer for broacasting, + several stage boxes with preamps, powermps and so on... So you don't want to change the clock of the whole setup by mistake...

You will also need the Dante Controller software (Free) - which is, basically, a routing matrix, where you set-up the clock rate and which source talks to which destination(s) (Mutli casting is possible)

That sounds like a very interesting setup.

I wonder if one sets ASIO to a fixed output rate while putting different tracks on line, say in Foobar2000 for example, would it work ?

Well, any PC software supporting ASIO, if set to the network clock rate and bit depth, should work.

Coming back to the minimal analyzer setup, another way could be to use the AVIO AES3 I/O, which costs the same, and to feed it from the analyzer's AES output.
Dante is "bitperfect", so that should also work.
In that case, you still need the Dante controller, but not the DVS ("Dante Virtual Soundcard").
There is also an USB AVIO, but it looks limited to 48kHz, while the others are 96kHz capable (which is the typical max clock rate used in live events).

There is also the new RME ADI-2 FS, which comes at 2/3 the price of the ADI-2 DAC...
(Not the Pro nor the DAC, the simple ADI-2, without display)

And no usb input:oops:

... And no RCA out, and only 600mW at 32 ohms, no "IEM out", and with analog inputs etc etc. At the end, very few in common with the ADI-2 DAC (closer to the Pro for ADC).

For RCA, all you need is a pair of cheap adapters or a cable.
https://www.amazon.com/WOVTE-Stereo...=1561960006&s=gateway&sprefix=jack+rc&sr=8-16
For what I can see, there is also no tone control and no remote control support.
But that's still 2/3 the price... and less than half the price of the Pro.
By the way, the headphone Amp, if I understand it correctly, may work fully in analog domain

I have this one and will measure it at some point.
Can you give us an idea of the reviews that are upcoming? Tentatively speaking.
I know you're gonna review the es100 eventually just looking for a time frame as prime day is coming up and the es100 is already on sale as well as other dacs.

Additionally, I'd love to get some phone tests on how android handles audio. Specifically apps. I know you did this with uapp, I'd like to confirm some other alternatives. Last I checked with you, android src decoding with resample vs bitperfect had a huge effect on sinad. I wanted to get a hiby r6 pro to remedy that, but if my current app, rocket player, does indeed work (devs say it should work for 16bit music) then my needs for a new dap completely change and I can use an LG phone as my dac with an additional amp as needed. So if you're ever able to just test your galaxy phone sometime with those parameters in mind that'd be awesome. I'm open to talk further via pm/phone.

Some other class compliant USB interfaces with symmetrical output that might
benefit from some measurements:

* Midiplus Studio M (https://www.thomann.de/intl/midiplus_studio_m.htm, 77€)
Small form factor, ingenious and uncluttered front with a cute LED gain meter.
Specs at http://www.midiplus.com/html/studioseries.html:
24 bits/96kHz DAC, dynamic range: 104 dB (A-weighted), THD+N: -98 dB

* Steinberg UR22 MK2 (https://www.thomann.de/intl/steinberg_ur22_mk2.htm, 129€)
On the bigger and more "professional" (austere) side. Now owned by Yamaha.
Manual specs:
24 bits/192 kHz DAC, dynamic range: 104 dB (A-weighted), THD+N: 0.005%

* Roland Rubix22 (https://www.thomann.de/intl/roland_rubix22.htm, 139€)
Still got the hitman look, but with classy LEDs adding some colours.
Specs at https://www.roland.com/global/products/rubix22/specifications/:
24 bits/192 kHz DAC, dynamic range: 109 dB, "residual noise level": -94 dBu

* Presonus Studio 24 (https://www.thomann.de/intl/presonus_studio_24.htm, 139€)
Colourful (blue) case with nice volume meters for the inputs/outputs.
Specs at https://www.presonus.com/products/Studio-24/tech-specs:
24 bits/192 kHz DAC, dynamic range: 104 dB (unweighted), THD+N: 0.001%

Those all seem very attractive to me, the Midiplus could be very great as a DAC
if it measures well, and the remaining three look very good if their specs are
honest. The headphone performance (which I'm admittedly not very interested in)
might separate the wheat from the chaff.

Another thing worth nothing is that Focusrite recently released its 3rd gen
Scarlett line-up and that the Solo finally has TRS jack and not RCA
outputs, not forcing you to get the 2i2 anymore.
With a price tag of 114€ on Thomann, a dynamic range of 108 dB and a THD+N <
0.002%, it's a very good proposition.

That is a good round up of low cost interfaces. How about creating a new thread with a poll to see which one is of most interest to measure. I will buy that, and maybe the second place finisher to test.
