Are you in the US, or?I picked up a anthem mca 30 today that was said to be in amazing shape. But come to find out someone had been inside the amp and changed the caps out with some lower quality caps. Looking for a repair guy?
I found a promotional video with a shot of the insides. It has black caps:I think all the black no name caps have been the ones replaced I believe all the boards should have the brown kme spec caps.
There are no snap in capacitors (there are some super large ones with screws but that is not what you are dealing with). All of them require soldering. I think I saw that the PCB is double-sided so more of a pain than normal to replace.If there the snap in type maybe they won't be that hard to replace and I could try doing it my self.
That just means they snap in to the PCB to hold them firmly while going over the solder wave. They are still soldered. In fact it makes them more of a pain in the ass to remove.Snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors - Alfatec GmbH & Co. KG
