Holo Audio Spring DAC "Kitsune Tune Edition"

https://kitsunehifi.com/product/springdacgreen/

Holo Audio seems an R2R Dac reference.
Seems an authentic piece of Art.

Chinese art of audio.

If @amirm could take a demo item.
Could be very interesting meausuring it

Looks very similar to Audio-gd products, which have been some of the worst products reviewed here. R2R products here have done at best similar to middle of the road chip solutions. and at worst, well the worst products reviewed here. For the most part, they've seemed like a lot of added costs, and complexity for none, to worse performance.

A demo item needs to be available though. My estimation: 85-90dB of SINAD. I'm sure it's fine really. but very expensive all things considered.

Exactly. The spring, looking at stereophile measurements, isn't hardly as bad as the audio-gd though. It uses FPGA correction to achieve better linearity, but yes definitely drinks the "multi-bit is better" cool-aid.

Curious about the DAP: xDuoo X3II AK4490
And the earstudio ES100 24bit Bluetooth receiver. Apparently, can be used as an OTG DAC.

Yep, it can. But only up to 24/48. Owned this few weeks, had a decent power but didn't find anything stellar sound wise...

Thanks a mil. I’m looking to find a dedicated DAP or go wireless to stream Deezer Hifi from my 6s. Looking for a dedicated portable DAC and amp.

Hello amirm,
How about this tiny DAC:
https://www.diyinhk.com/shop/audio-...able-high_quality_type_c_to_type_a_1_5m_cable

Maybe they will send you a review sample since they seem pretty confident that it is good stuff: "All buyer of the fullly assembly Audio DAC can enjoy 2 month free* try! This item is fully assembly and fine tuned, we have confidence you will like it. "
That is a lot of money for a bare DAC. Last product I reviewed from them did not perform if my memory serves me right.
