Behold the Moondrop flagship.

Moondrop is at its best making single dynamic driver IEM.

A sexy looking thing for sure, but how does it stack up in terms of sound vs other models? Not for bass heads for sure, but the treble looks wonky too from the measurements I've seen.

Jiu is a Chu with USB-C + DSP. I wonder how far they are going upwards in their line. Aria DSP? Kato DSP? Blessing2 DSP? S8, Solis? :)

those 3 seem to be (almost) the same IEM. Can you hear any differences?
the kxxs and aria seems to have a bit more treble than starsfield and kxxs has a touch more resolution than aria

sounds like buying the cheapest one would be the best choice.
Or at least, I cannot see any reason to pay ~$100 more for the 'top level' kxxs.

The shop owner gave me a huge discount for the kxxs which I could not refuse :), otherwise I would have gotten the kato.

I received the Quarks DSP yesterday (and the Truthear Hexa)... and the Quarks DSP are just ridiculously good IF you like the Harman in ear target. For 15 bucks... this has to be one of the best deals in audio right now.

As with the Truthear Zero (or the Variations...), the upper midrange is on the more aggressive side... but there's (to my ears) more bass and less shout to the Quarks than the Zero.

Have been listen Dawn 3.5 few months time to time. Can't hear any difference with my headphones (HE400se, HD600) compared to DX3Pro+ except slightly less volume.
Out of interest can you get it working with the link app. I can't use link on either iOS or Android 12.

Works well for me, but I have Android 11 on my phone. However, to make it work, I needed to download the most recent version of the app from the Moondrop website. It didn't work from the app I downloaded from Play store

By the way I use the Dawn 4.4 with the brilliant USB Audio Player Pro for Android where you can do PEQ on 10 bands. When I plug in my Dawn 4.4, it is automatically detected by the app.

I forgot to mention that I use a USB otg converter between my phone and the Dawn

Can anyone tell me how these Moondrop DSP IEMs work - i.e if I plug them into my phone do they completely bypass Android Audio and all its settings.

Why is this important for me? I am 100% deaf in one ear - on my Android phone I can use the accessibility settings to convert all audio to mono. Currently I used Roon Arc with a Fiio KA1 - now ARC has bit-perfect settings if I let it control the KA1 directly but the audio is then stereo so I lose one channel. Fortunately I can override this and tell Arc not to take control of the KA1 and so all the sound gets funnelled through Android Audio and mixed to mono (but is no longer bit perfect, of course).

I wouldn't be able to use the Jiu or Quarks if they bypassed Android Audio (unless of course, they had a mono setting on their DSP). Hopefully DSP is coming to Arc shortly so the problem might go away for the majority of my listening.

No. They just take the sound that your Android phone outputs via USB and apply their own DSP on top of that.

I purchased Moondrop Aria's as I have an Apple 14 pro with a Hizdiz S9 dac connected and I have broken them in and they do have a good soundstage.

My Quarks DSPs arrived yesterday. Not done too much listening but my initial impression is simply "blown away". They will probably be my go-to IEMs (have Chus, 7Hz Zeros, and CCA CRA+s). I'm not a bass head but the bass extension on the Quarks is excellent.

Don't like the Quarks bullet shape but they look reassuringly cheap so ain't likely to be stolen when I'm down the pub.

If the Jiu is indeed a Chu with DSP it will be a no-brainer purchase for me.

I have listen Quarks DSP few months now. I use Spinfits for better closing. The the tuning is excellent, the sound overall is quite good. The only problem is that after a silent phase in the music, the Quarks will be late when the music starts again. For examble, the first note from piano can be slow and soft. The IEM's without DSP don't have this problem. But only 19 €...

First official picture of the Blessing 3. 2DD+4BA and price still not disclosed, assuming around 300usd like the former.

There are already graphs in the squigs from the prototype called Project Red, a collab with Crinacle.
