I ended up building my own 1ET400A-based amp to drive my Directivas, but I will absolutely be buying one of these end of summer, because then I can bi-amp with digital crossover!
Also because following the development has been super gratifying and I want to support this project =)
Would it be possible to do an MCH amp in the XL case mixed in with Hypex for surround/Atmos channels? I would be "very" interested in a 7 channel amp with 3 Purifi and 4 NC252 channels in one box.
Boards are in my hands tomorrow. And I already have a bunch of back ordered builds "ready" to drop the boards in and ship.
I have one customer who has volunteered his 3ch build to go to Amir. Depending on Amir's backlog once he receives it will determine how long until a review is up.
Not looking for any pats on the back. But I know my lead times have probably lost me some customers and/or had others question just how serious my business is.
I don't blame those thoughts. I definitely get it. And I know I've said a few times "things will speed up, just a little longer and I'll be ahead on orders".
Well, it's 5pm on a Saturday and I've already filled seven orders today.
I promise, I am working as hard as I can and appreciate everyone's patience. Wait tmes WILL decrease.
No rush on my part. Just excited to get my 3ch Buckeye Purifi amp hooked up for my front 3 channels. We all need to be patient, as this new board must be tested and once cleared for use the assembly should speed up considerably.
When designing the 3ch, I talked with Hypex and they were very confident the 1200 would handle (3) 1ET400A's into 4ohms without limiting peak power. Testing so far hasn't shown any issues.
This I haven't tested myself yet. Mainly due to the lack of NC502's to test with.
I am going to replace my workhorse 4ch NC502MP I have been using for LCR duty for two years now with a 3ch Purifi when I have a little free time, so I can report on the heat difference in my setup I notice.
However, the 4ch 502 case/design I am using is one of my first ever builds so it won't be a completely fair comparison to the new cases with more cutouts/etc I use now.
