So these two are roughly the same size, roughly the same design goal. Obviously the driver sizes are slightly different, so... How do these two compare?

ETA: My best guess is the Gennies will go slightly louder but maybe not as much as I think? LFX looks similar. Neumann might have a slight lead on directivity behavior.

1237A are more expensive.
Specs say KH 420 goes lower and louder.

For the price of a pair of KH 420 you can get a pair of KH 310 with a pair of subs.

And white speakers are:

The Genelec plays significantly louder. While they don't provide any specs for direct comparison, you can compare the long-term SPL of each by converting the 2.3m long-term SPL of the Neumann to get a 1m figure of 97dB. Genelec plays at 102dB long-term. That's almost four times as loud.

Those Genelec bass drivers look like they're coated paper. Wonder why that was the way they went... Nothing wrong with it of course, Genelec just seems to trend towards poly or fiberglass reinforced paper for woofers from what I've seen.

The woofers look different from the old 1037 to 1237A

It seems Genelec is using different drivers on the newer 1237A vs the older 1037
