I bought S41 for my mum (red for work, black for home). I'd like to buy a white one for my sister's kitchen :) but Sony charges extra for "premium" white color
Darn! Maybe you get lucky at Ebay, that's where i got mine.

Nice quality product and plays considerable loud and clear for its size.
True.

I used to outright refuse to pay premiums for colors. About ten years ago I was shopping for running shoes on Amazon, and they had economic pricing where various colors were priced from 0.5% to maybe 20% apart. I quickly realized colors do have some limited additional value and abandoned my prior hard line position. Now I treat color like any other feature. If I am buying a shirt color might be worth 3x the price. For hifi, I will pay too. I would happily pay another $50 for a silver Schiit Magnius if they made it, for example. Schiit is charging a signifigant premium for silver color now because of supplier constraints and cost differences, but I wouldn't mind the premium regardless of their cost.

World's full of striking-looking objects, but who needs uncomfortable chairs or automobiles which are nearly impossible to drive?

Chinese stacking bamboo dumpling steamer and dumplings! The former, made from a fast-growing type of grass. When broken or worn-out, it can simply be discarded. And as long as you don't burn it, it's a carbon sink.

The dumplings: Themselves quite the human innovation! The ones in my photo wrap meat, vegetables and soup broth in a layer of wheat. Aside from the parchment paper used by this particular restaurant, there's no waste.

Alas, I'll never own one. I do have an original mint-condition 1938 brochure, though! hahaha

Similar. Neighbor has a Lincoln Continental MKII in black as below, '56 or '57. What a great design (to me). Lived in this neighborhood nearly 30 years and have never seen more than the front grill on rare occasions the garage door is open. Car has never been out under its own power. (Another is a 1-owner '67 Camaro RS under a tarp in a barn/shed/garage. I leave notes on that once a year, so far no replies on 15+.)

Well I can remember when the Lincoln Continental Mk II was first introduce ... yeah, I'm that old.

'Way back even in the day I considered the the design to be excessively stately. It certainly was "stately" compared to most cars of that vintage, even Lincolns, e.g. this '56 Lincoln Premier:

Can anyone resist the Honda 400 Super Dream!

View attachment 209279
I can...

There are so many better Honda designs to my eye:

If 400cc then this is my contender CB400F (CB1 was cool too)

personally I'm a sucker for the classic CB750

One more - since I'm here... The Super Cub - Only the nicest people! (Altough that front fender always grated on me)
