I can imagine the discussions in the marketing team.

Clown A: "What if we made a speaker?"
Clown B: "Could be profitable. But we need a gimmick."
Clown A: "We make pianos. They have strings. What if we covered the speaker in strings?"
Clown B: "Genius!"

Pricing depends on the components you use it with. You can't make this up.

The most realistic HiFi system I have heard was the Steinway Lyngdorf Model D system. Mind you it was in a superb room too and it was the first system I had heard which also used DSP room compensation.
I had gone to experience a high end home cinema and was very disappointed by the very expensive sound part of the system, they had the Lyngdorf stuff and the Model D, the first joint venture, was installed in one room.
I considered buying but abandoned the idea of a specialist home theatre because the sound wasn’t good enough yet and I still have a top quality projector and use my Hi-Fi with added rear and centre channels for the rare film watching sessions.

I have no doubt it will sound impressive, but you have to admit that the gimmick is a bit ... transparent? They are fishing for those that have more money than mind.

I doubt the speakers will be measured by independent peeps, like @amirm or @hardisj , ever.

I mean, if they have a competitive product, they should get a good boost in sale and status, by getting a golfing panther.

Sonus Faber have used rubber “string” “grilles” and beautiful if rather expensive cabinets for decades.
You wrote the original post as if you were discovering something new and excessively expensive but it is just par for the course

I don’t think they are targeted at ASR readers so the Panther probably wouldn’t help.

Al least they look nice as domestic furniture which sadly most of the inexpensive but well performing speakers tested here rarely if ever do.

I am not sure how much better Genelec 8361 with W371 would be here than what I have but I haven’t bought them because of the look!

A customer has some SF with the rubber strings they look smart their effectiveness at keeping out small fingers is though questionable .
