Man, you better not have any fear of height! And lots of money because it costs $1,200 per night (I think).
Just a total lack of any common sense.

I used to like rock and mountain climbing and was fairly fearless. An accident in my youth led to an accentuated fear of heights, alas. I recently read several books of the ill-fated 1996 Everest expeditions plus K2 and some others. Glad I'm out of shape enough to not consider it again.

Common sense ain't (common). - me

I won't be cliff-camping or climbing.

I can barely stand to climb to the high eaves on this single story home.

I had to buy a new ladder (heavy sucker) since my 1961 vintage magnesium extension ladder was too springy for my wobbling.

Ray, the video of Alex Honnold that you posted is not available in my country.
No sweat, I've seen few of his videos in the past.

The most amazing thing? He is still alive today.

He is really fearless (crazy).

Try to climb a brick wall like that. Even just a couple of feet.

Is it fear holding you back? Sanity? Did you even get off the ground?

I'd just say he has a demonstrated level of skill that we mortals lack.

Trained.

Here's the building...

The Frenchman, Alain Robert, is also a top free solo climber, no strings attached, no time for a nap, no camping trip, not campsite on any wall, just climb in one shot.
I don't know if he's the best, but him too is still alive, and that, is the greatest accomplishment.
I've seen several videos of him climbing some of the world's tallest buildings.

Bird shit and idiots.

Who's the guy that free climbed El Capitan at Yosemite?

Check this one out, brand new fresh free solo climb of Yosemite's El Capitan by Alex Honnold (this morning news):
http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...an-without-ropes-and-the-climbing-world-reels

He did it last Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 → http://www.grindtv.com/nature/climb...olo-yosemites-el-capitan/#BP50RVBPi8lCPDZF.97

The planet is orbiting, in constant movement, and Alex is orbiting too, in sync with the mountain, with the globe, no rope, amazing!

There are new news every single day worldwide, all kind of news, bad news, good news, this one is among the later group.
Alex is one of the best examples of what a human person can achieve.
Just imagine for a brief moment, if all the world leaders have that common goal of achievement towards peace for all humanity and good maintenance of our planet's ecosystem. I know, it's hard to envision a worldwide top notch team of administration for our planet and for all the people living on it (7.5 billion today).

I love this Joe Rogan interview of Alex Hannold. I love the story about how he forgot his chalk and had to borrow someone else's chalk about halfway up El Capitan.
