Dude, that's comedy gold right there. A Professor of EE stating the Fast Transient Noise can make into the static file.... I hope I don't own any electronics either developed by him or his students. Then again I do have a box of dead, pos, electronics.

I have run across that same fellow a few times over the years. He really is an EE professor as I asked for confirmation from similar ideas he spouted. He is out there alright.....in an X-files sort of way.

Typical Lavorgna, he ripped up carpet because the plywood sub-floor sounds really good. Added some small sound absorbing panels on the wall. In the interview you can hear the excessively live reverb of his listening room over the interview microphone.

Oh, yeah. Don't forget about the worse THD, S/N and dynamic compression, too. But, that's why vinyl sounds so much "better" than dull, uninteresting digital payback, as we all know.
