Just spent a wonderful time watching East Side Sushi:
I must say I am a sucker for Sushi movies although most are not that good. Or appeal to others who are not into Japanese food. But this one is an exception. It is a story that flows easily and brings with it warm acting. It doesn't take Japanese sushi/sushi making too seriously but works fine here (e.g. Japanese never mix Wasabi with Soy Sauce as they do here).
Watched it on DVD. It is an independent movie but is done well enough that you could almost confuse it with a hollywood made one.
The actor and actresses do a nice job of pretending to be sushi chefs (they went through training).
Definitely worth a watch!
