Thanks for the reply that supports my understanding of DIRAC so far.

Sealed versus Ported Bass, can the difference be measured?

I'm not that deep into DIRAC that I read the FM, but as I understood the theory behind the story was, that it (the DIRAC) tunes the sound at MLP automatically without any understanding of the user. Seems my interpretation was wrong?

Looking for a uninterruptible power supply

I do have Eaton UPS of different capacities all around at work and never had any problems, besides some exhausted batteries to be exchanged. They all survived the one and only outage so far.

Wherever there is a place for it to see if room modes define the dip around 80 Hz.

The moving microphone method (MMM) for Dummies using REW

The dip is 60 up to 100 Hz (center 80 Hz) so not speaker issue but room mode. Moving speakers and remeasuring might confirm (or not) this.

Master AI (Artificial Intelligence) Discussion/News Thread

It's a poor system that needs an AI to navigate through it for only a phonecall. We whatch NHS for years now, suspicious ly, but now it seems to be projected to here, too. Where have we come to?

There is value in eq if it makes things better - in your listening room and listening position with your listening preferences. If not then not.

AsciLab speakers are about to launch

That's an academic discussion ... simply listen with and without EQ and decide if there is an audible difference - or not.

Simple Inexpensive Passive 2-way with Dayton and SB drivers.

You shared not only the prototype, the xover and the finish of the overall speaker, what had some discussion afterwards. To weight the comments to be helpful to this entity is a subjectiv interpretation. In short: thanks for information and looking forward for optimization

Bass is first : look at bass level tuning and what it provides for upper frequencies, adjust LP according and addressing bafflestep. Then HP and attenuation of tweeter should be adjusted to the 'base'. That is basic. Don't see pushing boundaries but well done basic work.
