Thanks for the reply that supports my understanding of DIRAC so far.

I'm not that deep into DIRAC that I read the FM, but as I understood the theory behind the story was, that it (the DIRAC) tunes the sound at MLP automatically without any understanding of the user. Seems my interpretation was wrong?

Wherever there is a place for it to see if room modes define the dip around 80 Hz.

The dip is 60 up to 100 Hz (center 80 Hz) so not speaker issue but room mode. Moving speakers and remeasuring might confirm (or not) this.

There is value in eq if it makes things better - in your listening room and listening position with your listening preferences. If not then not.

That's an academic discussion ... simply listen with and without EQ and decide if there is an audible difference - or not.

Bass is first : look at bass level tuning and what it provides for upper frequencies, adjust LP according and addressing bafflestep.Then HP and attenuation of tweeter should be adjusted to the 'base'. That is basic. Don't see pushing boundaries but well done basic work.

You want to know what is going on within a sphere? Just revert a tweeter or insert one and measure it's output ... :cool:
