Would you still recommend buying these speakers? Or have they already been surpassed by others at a similar price?

Winning once is one thing, but winning a second time is an art. Unfortunately, this was not confirmed with the wiim amp.

They had a particularly good sense of spaciousness.

The MA Hypn didn't sound particularly good and actually looked like they could be used somewhere in the corridor of a shopping center. "Sewer Pipes" sounded pretty good, you still have to see them as they are interestingly weird.

I heard Taylor speakers. The first thing that caught my attention was their beautiful honest appearance, perhaps as if they were carved from real wood. Their sound was brutally strong and robust, but maybe they lost a bit of delicacy, it play about the way it look.

#4 Harbeth Not many bookshelf speakers were listenable, but these were phenomenal, playing wider and better than most other floorstanding speakers.

To be honest, regardless of design or finish, I only liked the sound of about three speakers.
